The Pick drop-down menu field contains the names of records in the Pick list. Pick list records are linked to the question record via this field. The appropriate pick record name or a {symbol.extension} containing a valid pick list record name is placed in this field. If a symbol, {symbol.extension}, is used as the name of a pick list, this list is considered a 'dynamic' pick list. A pick list is a list of responses from which the interviewer may read the possible responses and the respondent choose the answer, or the interviewer may select the closest match with no prompting of the respondent. Depending on the question type used with the Pick list, one or multiple responses may be selected from the list.
